To reach the horseback riding trailhead from uptown Sedona, head west on SR89A for 4.5 miles to the Sedona Cultural Park. Turn right heading north to the end of the road. Park on the right hand side. The Rupp Trail heads north from the parking lot.

Overall, Dawa / Rupp Horse Loop is the 46th most popular horse trail of all 49 horseback rides in Arizona. Several of the better horse trails are nearby Dawa / Rupp Horse Loop including Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Apache Maid Horse Trail, Casner Mountain Trail and Hot Loop Trail.
