South of Crescent City in the Redwood National Park, the Mill Creek Horse Trail is a 9 mile trail open to horseback riding.

To reach the trailhead from Crescent City, head south on US101. Turn left heading east on Elk Valley Road. Turn right on Howland Hill Road heading east. Turn right on Bertsch Avenue heading south and look for trailhead on the left.

Overall, Mill Creek Horse Trail is the 74th most popular horse trail of all 81 horseback rides in California.
