Hillsborough Horse Trail

Southwest of Concord and south of Hillsborough, the 8 mile Hillsborough Trail is a multi-use horseback riding trail running from the southside of Hillsborough in the north to the town of Bennington in the south. The trail is open to hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, dirt biking and ATV riding.
To reach the trailhead from Concord, head north on US89 to Exit #5. Head west on US202/SR9 for 11.8 miles to the Henniker Street Exit. Head southwest on Henniker Street for 1.7 miles. In downtown Hillsborough, turn left heading south on SR149 for 0.2 miles to Union Street. Turn right heading southwest on Union Street for 0.6 miles. Union Street becomes Longwoods Road. Continue southwest on Longwood Road (it becomes dirt) for 1.0 miles. Turn right on Fish And Game Road and park immediately on the right in the unsigned parking area provided by the Deering Fish & Game Club.
Overall, Hillsborough Horse Trail is the 17th most popular horse trail of all 17 horseback rides in New Hampshire.
