Near Duck River, the Why Not Ranch has 1000 acres with 35 miles of well-marked horseback riding trails. Some trails may be perceived as challenging for novice riders and most of the trails have water crossings at one point or another.
Why Not Ranch is located just off SR50 between Columbia and Centerville. From either direction, once you see the green sign that says Shady Grove, turn on the hard road that runs parallel to the Duck River Market. Follow the hard road about 4.5 miles passing under the Natchez Trace bridges twice. After passing under the second bridge take your immediate left onto New She Boss. Take your first right onto Blue Buck Creek Road and follow this dirt road about 1/2 mile to the campground on your left.
Overall, Why Not Ranch is the 20th most popular horse trail of all 21 horseback rides in Tennessee.
