East of Spooner and west of Stone Lake in Washburn County, the Dugan Run Horse Trail System has 25 miles of horseback riding trails. These marked and signed trails are a mixture of logging roads, narrow trail and shared ATV routes. Dugan Run Horse Trail System trails wind through rolling, forested terrain.

The north trailhead of Dugan Run Horse Trail System is located 2 miles north of Highway 70 on Dugan Lake Road. This trailhead has 10 primative campsites. The south trailhead of Dugan Run Horse Trail System is located 2 miles south of Highway 70 near the intersection of Harmon Lake Road and Hawthorne Drive. This trailhead has 9 campsites with electrical service.
