Maddox Horse Camp Horseback Riding

Near Maplesville in the western district of the Talladega National Forest, there are 15 miles of ridge line and valley horse trails surrounding the Maddox Horse Camp. In addition, there are over 10 miles of forest roads suitable for horseback riding.

The Maddox Horse Camp has room for at least 10 horse trailers, but keep in mind that there is no water.

To reach the Maddox Horse Camp from Prattville, head east on SR82 through Maplesville. Turn left on CR183 towards Marion. In Centerville, continue on CR183 west towards Brent. Turn left on CR307 near a white church. CR307 turns into FS418. As the road narrows, veer right on FS418 and look for the Maddox Horse Camp after about a mile.
