Northwest of Providence and Pawtucket, the 627 acre Lincoln Woods State Park has 10 miles of wooded bridle trails around the lake. Located close to Providence, Pawtucket and Cumberland, the park has seen a large increase in both equestrian and mountain bike usage recently so now there are designated use zone. The Zone A trails to the west of Quinsnicket Road are for the exclusive use of horseback riding.
South of Providence and Warwick, the 500 acre Goddard State Park has a range of horseback riding trails. Many consider these horse trails to be the best in the state. The Goddard Memorial State Park is located in Warwick.
