Northwest of Hurricane, the Sand Mountain Off-Highway Riding Area has 16,000 acres of red sand dunes open to OHV riding. OHV riding is allowed on the south and east sides of the Sand Hollow Reservoir. The OHV Staging Area can access the trail system through a tunnel under SR9.
