China Wall OHV Area

The 50th most popular off-highway vehicle trail in California.

East of Auburn and Foresthill in the Tahoe National Forest, the China Wall OHV Area has 80 miles of trails open to OHV routes. Contrary to popular belief, the Foresthill OHV area is only open to vehicles under 50 inches wide. There are no four-wheel drive or jeep routes in the Foresthill OHV area.

To reach the China Wall OHV Area trailhead from US80, exit on Foresthill Drive. The trailhead is about 45 miles from US80.

Note: On the trail map, the thin black line are both ATV and Jeep routes.

Overall, China Wall OHV Area is the 50th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 102 OHV routes in California.
