Southeast of San Diego, the Lark Canyon OHV Area has several miles of OHV trails. Located in McCain Valley Resource Conservation Area, Lark Canyon OHV Area is designed specifically for motorcycles.

Several miles of trails are located in the OHV area. The Wounded Knee Trail is a challenging ride that rewards riders with views of McCain Valley and surrounding area. All of the trails in the OHV area are signed.

To reach the Lark Canyon OHV Area trailhead from San Diego, head east on US8 70 miles to the Boulevard exit. The ORV Area is located 5.3 miles up McCain Valley Road on the left side.

Overall, Lark Canyon OHV Area is the 57th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 102 OHV routes in California. Several of the better ohv/4wd trails are nearby Lark Canyon OHV Area including Glamis, Ocotillo Wells State Recreation Area, Corral Canyon OHV Area, Palomar Mountain Divide, Superstition Mountain Open Area and Imperial Sand Dunes OHV Recreation Area.
