Southeast of Cheboygan, the Black Lake ORV Trail is a 38 mile OHV route.

To reach the trailhead from Cheboygan, follow US Highway 23 to Alpena State Road exit. Follow Alpena SR south, parking area is on the right. To get to the campground, take a right out of the trailhead parking area onto Black Mountain Road. Take a right onto Dorvia Beach Road.

Overall, Black Lake ORV Trail is the 12th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 14 OHV routes in Michigan.
