South of Bismarck, the Kimball Bottom Recreation Area on Lake Oahe has OHV routes trails.

To reach the trailhead from the intersection of US 83 and I-94 business in Bismarck head south on US 83 Spur ( SR 1804 / S. 9th Street.) Travel for 5 miles. You will pass the University of Mary. Turn right at a sign for Kimball Bottom Recreation Area. Follow the road 2.7 miles to the ORV area.
