West of Portland and east of Tillamook, the Trask OHV Area has 40,000 acres open to OHV use. The trails pass through steep mountain forests covered with Douglas Firs planted after the big Tillamook forest fire. They can be narrow and rutted.

To reach the trailhead from Tillamook, head east on SR6. Turn south on Long Praire Road for 2 miles. Turn east on Trask River Road for 14 miles to just past East Fork Road.

Note: There is no trail map currently available privately or through the State Forestry office.

Overall, Trask OHV Area is the 13th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 26 OHV routes in Oregon. Several of the better ohv/4wd trails are nearby Trask OHV Area including Browns Camp OHV Area, Diamond Mill OHV Area and Jordan Creek OHV Area.
