West End OHV Area

The 19th most popular off-highway vehicle trail in Oregon.

East of Spray in the Umatilla National Forest, the West End OHV Area (aka Sunflower OHV Area) has 91,000 acres open to 4WD riding on various old roads.

To reach the Fairview Campground trailhead from Spray, head east on SR19 for 3 miles. Turn left heading north on SR207 for 11 miles. The campground is on the left.

From the campground, the trails are to the east on NFD 24 and NFD 23. Although no formal OHV routes are designated, the terrain allows for some off-road travel and there are numerous unused or low standard roads. Pay attention to land boundaries as there are areas of private land within the riding area boundary. The area is made inaccessible by snow to all but snowmobiles during winter months.

Overall, West End OHV Area is the 19th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 26 OHV routes in Oregon.
