West of Knoxville and northeast of Oliver Springs, the Windrock Mountain (aka Coal Creek OHV) has 250 miles of OHV trails over 73,000 acres. The 62 trails are on property owned by the Coal Creek Mining Company and are maintained by Windrock ATV club. There are plenty of rocks, creek crossings and mud.

A detailed trail map is availble only through the Windrock ATV Club for a small donation.

The northern half of the riding area can be accessed off of SR 116 (New River Hwy) or off of Stoneyford Rd west of Caryville.

A fee permit is required to ride these trails. The trailhead is located on Windrock Road which is northeast of Oliver Springs.

Overall, Windrock Mountain - North is the 6th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 7 OHV routes in Tennessee.
