East of Salt Lake City, nearly 36,000 acres of sand dunes, hills, and mud flats located in the Great Salt Lake Desert make a perfect OHV play area, and Knolls is less than two hours away from Salt Lake City. Tons of off-road fun is waiting, but stay within the boundaries. Knolls OHV area does border a bombing range.

Directions to the Knolls Off-highway Vehicle Area: Take I-80 west from Salt Lake. Take exit #41 (78 miles west of the intersection of I-15 and I-80), head south from exit on old asphalt road. Turn south onto gravel road after approximately 1.6 miles. First toilet facility is approximately 0.6 miles down the gravel road on the right. The second toilet facility is approximately 1.5 miles further south on the gravel road from the first toilet and is also located on the right side of the road.

Overall, Knolls OHV Area is the 23rd most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 32 OHV routes in Utah.
