Cleghorn Ridge For OHV Driving
The 4th most popular off-highway vehicle trail in California.

Near San Bernardino and the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area, the Cleghorn Ridge drive is a scenic 15 mile OHV route. There are many parallel sections offering either an easy or a difficult route.
There are two OHV trailheads: Baldy Mesa and Summit.
To reach the Baldy Mesa trailhead from US15, use the Lake Silverwood Exit (SR138). Head north on Baldy Mesa Road (currently dirt), which is directly across from the northboard off ramp. Park anywhere except near the second railroad overpass and beyond.
To reach the Summit trailhead from US 15, use the Lake Silverwood Exit (SR138). Head east on SR138. Turn south on FS3N22 for 0.25 miles and turn west right heading west to parking area.
Note: As of November 2007, the fire road (forest road) also known as Cleghorn road or Trail 2N47 was open from the staging area off of 138 and small staging area directly off of Interstate 15 --- the road was open to to Silver Lake. Forest Road 2N40 is closed.
Overall, Cleghorn Ridge is the 4th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 102 OHV routes in California.
