North of Chico near Red Bluff, the Peligreen Jeep Trail is a difficult 22 mile OHV route. It is a narrow shelf road consisting of rock and mud.

To reach the trailhead form US5, exit in Red Bluff at Antelope. Head east. Turn left on SR36 towards Mt Lassen. Continue for 15 miles. Exit at Paynes Creek. Continue 20 miles to the trailhead.

The 2.5 mile Grapevine Jeep Trail is also nearby.
