Near Government Camp in the Mount Hood National Forest, there is a 55 mile road through the wilderness to a glacial cirque lake. The OHV route has many side roads to explore, and the final 6 miles to the lake are very challenging.

Overall, Badger Lake is the 21st most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 26 OHV routes in Oregon. Several of the better ohv/4wd trails are nearby Badger Lake including Nohorn Butte, Frazier Turnaround, Flag Point Lookout and High Rock Road.
