West of Gainsville near Old Town, the 80 acre Ocean Pond Off Road Park is known for the 4WD mud racing events. There is a large mud bogging area.

Ocean Pond Off Road Park is located west of Gainsville off US19 in Old Town, which is between Cheifland and Cross City.

To reach Ocean Pond OHV Park from Gainsville, follow US 19 to the Caution Light in Old Town, its formerly known as Chavous Road. Make right Go North East The new number for Chavous Road is NE 592nd Street. Go down about 2 miles to Thompson Road, now 209th Ave. Follow around curve until you get to the dirt Thompson Road that's now 239th follow that around all the way to Brenda Street, 434th street, make Right. Follow that around until you see Ocean Ponds gateway.

Overall, Ocean Pond Off Road Park is the 6th most popular OHV & 4wd jeep trail of all 6 OHV routes in Florida.
