South of Nashville near Mooresville, the Woolys Offroad Area is open to 4x4 riding. Current trails consist of easy to difficult trails that include obstacles such as rock bluffs, washed out trenches, hills, mud, loose rocks and open hills. The trails are spread out on 500+ acres.
West of Knoxville and northeast of Oliver Springs, the Windrock Mountain (aka Coal Creek OHV) has 250 miles of OHV trails over 73,000 acres. The 62 trails are on property owned by the Coal Creek Mining Company and are maintained by Windrock ATV club. There are plenty of rocks, creek crossings and mud.
