North of Gunnison, the Crested Butte Nordic Center grooms 50km of cross country skiing trails for classical and skate skiing looping across private and public lands. There are awesome vistas of the encompassing Elk Mountains.
West of Denver and northwest of Breckenridge, the Breckenridge Nordic Center maintains 30km of groomed trails and 20km ungroomed trails. The winding trails roll through forest and meadow with vistas of the snowcapped peaks and ski area.
Between North Conway and Gorham, the professionally operated Jackson Ski Touring Foundation maintains 154 km of cross-country ski trails. These nordic trails are spread over 60 square miles and across 3 river systems.
East of Frisco, the Frisco Nordic Center has 28 km of groomed cross country ski trails for skating and classical skiing. The trail system is located on a peninsula in the Dillon Reservoir.
On the east side of Vail, the Vail Nordic Center has 17km of groomed cross-country ski trails. These nordic trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing.
North of Sussex, the High Point Cross Country Ski Center is New Jersey's only cross-country ski center. It has 15 km of groomed tracks along with access to 45 km of backcountry trails.
Near Middlebury in the Green Mountain National Forest, the Rikert Nordic Center has over 55km of cross country ski trails. These trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing.
