Val Ferret Cross Country Skiing

The 5th most popular XC Ski in Italy.

North of Courmayeur, the beautiful Val Ferret has numerous trails used in the winter for cross country skiing. The trailheads start from the village of Plampincieux.

To reach this area from Milan, head west on Route A4 and then follow Route A5 northwest into Courmayer.

To reach Courmayeur by air, you will want to fly into Milan or Turin. From either, take the train to Aosta. Across the street from the Aosta train station, there is an easy hourly bus for 3€ that takes about an hour to reach Courmayeur along a scenic route past many castles.

Overall, Val Ferret is the 5th most popular cross country ski area of all 16 Nordic ski destinations in Italy.
