Between Manistee and Wellston in Manistee County, the Big M is a 19 mile route designed for XC skiing. It is located deep in the heart of the hardwood and pine forest of Udell Hills.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Wellston, head was on SR55 for 4 miles. Turn south on East Udell Hills Road for 3 miles to the entrance.
