North of Jackson and Moose Junction in the Grand Teton National Park, the Jenny Lake Loop is a 6 to 10 mile round trip along an unplowed road. The route from the trailhead runs through meadows to the shore of Jenny Lake. This ungroomed route is popular and you'll be following a manually groomed track. To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Jackson, head north on SR26 for 12 miles to Moose Junction. Turn left and continue for 3 miles to parking on left.
Overall, Jenny Lake Loop is the 2nd most popular cross country ski area of all 26 Nordic ski destinations in Wyoming. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Jenny Lake Loop including Jackson Ski Touring Foundation, Signal Mountain, Shadow Mountain, Mt. Washington Valley, Jackson Hole Nordic Center and Cache Creek Canyon.
