Southeast of Rutland and northwest of Ludlow, the Okemo Valley Nordic Center has 22km of cross country ski trails with 20km of skating lanes, tree skiing and terrain that winds its way through the pristine meadows and hillsides of the Black River Valley.
If you are looking for some nightlife in Okemo, you will want to check out the Coleman Brook Tavern, The Sitting Bull, the Loft or Charaktors.
To reach Okemo Valley Nordic Center from the south, head north on US91 to Exit #6 (in Vermont). Continue north on SR103 for 24 miles to Ludlow. The Okemo Mountain Resort entrance will be on your left. Or continue 1.5 miles to the Jackson Gore Inn, also on your left.
To reach Okemo Valley Nordic Center from the east, head west on US89 to Exit #12 (in NH). Continue west on SR11 into Claremont. Watch for two right hand turns in Claremont to follow Route 11 and cross into Vermont. Continue to VT Route 131 West to VT Route 103 North 2 miles to Ludlow. The Okemo Mountain entrance will be on your left. Or continue 1.5 miles to the Jackson Gore Inn, also on your left.
Then, Okemo Valley Nordic Center is conveniently located just one mile from Okemo Mountain Resort's Jackson Gore. Situated a few hundred yards off Routes 103/100, Okemo Valley Nordic Center occupies the Okemo Valley Golf Club facility on Fox Lane.
Overall, Okemo Valley Nordic Center is the 1st most popular cross country ski area of all 23 Nordic ski destinations in Vermont.
