North of Winnipeg, the Prime Meridian Trail is a 72.5 mile abandoned rail line that starts at Grosse Isle and ends in Fisher Branch. Use #6 Hwy to Grosse Isle access the beginning of the cross country ski trail. Access can also be made ate Inwood, Manitoba, take #7 HWY to Teulon then take Hwy 17 to Inwood to access the trail from there.

Overall, Prime Meridian Trail is the 11th most popular cross country ski area of all 12 Nordic ski destinations in Manitoba. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Prime Meridian Trail including Birds Hill Provincial Park, Hecla Provincial Park and Grand Beach Provincial Park.
