Maplelag Cross Country Skiing

The 18th most popular XC Ski in Minnesota.

Northeast of Fargo-Moorhead and Detroit Lakes, the Maplelag ski center has 53km of Pisten Bully groomed trails through gentle field and maple-basswood forest. There are 11 trails with varying degrees of difficulty.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Mpls/St. Paul, take I-94 to Clearwater. Then, cut over to Clear Lake, which is on Hwy 10. Go north on Hwy 10 to Detroit Lakes and turn right (or north) at the first stoplight and follow the resort signs.

Overall, Maplelag is the 18th most popular cross country ski area of all 39 Nordic ski destinations in Minnesota.
