Callaghan Country Cross Country Skiing

The 31st most popular XC Ski in British Columbia.

West of Whistler, the Callaghan Country area is a 3,500 hectare, outdoor adventure playground situated in the Southern Coast Mountains. The Callaghan Backcountry Lodge has 32km of trackset cross country ski trails. This staging area is conveniently located just 84 km north of the international gateway city of Vancouver, and just 13 km west of world-famous Whistler Resort. 22 km from the main staging area, at an elevation of 4,500 feet (1,370m) is Callaghan Backcountry Lodge - Whistlers only full-service, remote access retreat. No roads, no signs, no power lines. Just pure high-alpine terrain and unlimited ski touring. In the winter, guests are transported from the staging area either by helicopter, snowmobile or snowcat. Guests with athletic ability are encouraged to ski the 12.5km from Alexander Falls to the Lodge.

Overall, Callaghan Country is the 31st most popular cross country ski area of all 56 Nordic ski destinations in British Columbia.
