Northwest of Calgary near Rocky Mountain House, the Terratima Lodge has 40km of groomed trails through woodlands. Every trail takes you over and along frozen creeks and hills, challenging those who dare. Surprisingly, you are warm in the forest; as locals have long known, it is the great protector, a crystal palace of beauty and charm. Terratima was the site of the first Canadian Ski-Orienteering Championship and has been home to cross-country skiers since 1974. We have trails for skiiers of every ability. Trails are groomed after each snowfall and well-marked to keep you on track.
To reach the trailhead from Rocky Mountain House, head east on Highway 11. Turn south on Highway 22 for 10km and follow the signs.
Overall, Terratima Lodge is the 24th most popular cross country ski area of all 37 Nordic ski destinations in Alberta.
