Northwest of Cumberland, the 24km Timberland Hills trail system rolls over challenging terrain. The trails are machine groomed for classical and skate.
To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Cumberland, head north on US63 towards Spooner. Look for signs to trailhead on left. To reach the trailhead from the intersection of US 63 and CR H on the north side of Cumberland, go west-north on CR H for almost 10 miles to a right on Boyd Rd. Travel 1 mile to parking.
Overall, Timberland Hills is the 16th most popular cross country ski area of all 33 Nordic ski destinations in Wisconsin.
