In the northeast corner of the state, the Highland Lodge has 30 miles of cross country ski trails allow you unique access to high-country farm meadows, boreal woodlands, and frozen ponds and lakes. All 30 miles are roller packed and 10 miles are trackset.

Trails are packed 8 feet wide in the woods, 12 feet wide in the fields for easier maneuvering. They are laid out for views from the hilltops, downhills through the fields and miles of quiet cruising.

About thirty-five miles northeast of Montpelier, the capital of Vermont, lies lovely Lake Caspian. At its south end is the charming village of Greensboro. Highland Lodge is at the north end of the lake on the road from Greensboro to East Craftsbury. Leaving the village of Greensboro, bear left and keep left for two miles.

Overall, Highland Lodge is the 16th most popular cross country ski area of all 29 Nordic ski destinations in Vermont. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Highland Lodge including Burke Cross Country Ski, Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Jay Peak Nordic.
