East of Morgantown, the 12,700 acre Coopersrock State Forest has 5 miles of cross-country ski loops. The rides run through dense, rolling forests with rhododendron and mountain laurel.

To reach the trailhead from Morgantown, head east on US68 to Exit 15. Turn left heading south and follow signs.

Overall, Coopersrock State Forest is the 4th most popular cross country ski area of all 5 Nordic ski destinations in West Virginia.
