Waubonsie State Park Cross Country Skiing

The 4th most popular XC Ski in Iowa.

South of Sidney in the southwestern corner of the state, the Waubonsie State Park has a great cross country ski trail that runs 12 miles through the Loess Hills.

The intersection of US 275 and SR 2 in Sidney, go south on US 275 for 4.3 miles. Turn right (west) on SR 2 and go 1.9 miles. Turn left on SSR 239 and travel about 0.5 miles to the Park Office and parking on the right.

Overall, Waubonsie State Park is the 4th most popular cross country ski area of all 15 Nordic ski destinations in Iowa.
