Lech / Zurs Cross Country Skiing

West of Innsbruck and east of Bregens, the Lech am Arlberg & Zurs am Arlberg area has 26km of groomed cross country ski trails with reliable snow in a scenic and romantic valley.

The trails are shown in green on the trail map. The Lech-Zug route is 2.8km one-way. The Omesberg - Zug route is 2.4km one-way. The Zug-Alpele route is 3.5km one-way. The Alpele-Tannlager-Alpele route is 8km. In Zurs, the Zurs-Flexenpas-Zur route is 4km.

This area tends to attract an older, sophisticated crowd. Looking for apres ski? Check out the deck at Hotel Montana or Hotel Krone or Hotel Tannbergerhof. How about some nightlife? Then try the Scotch Club at the Arlberg Hotel or the disco at the Krone after 10pm. The disco at the Hotel Pfefferkorn also gets going after 10pm.

Most international travelers fly into Zurich, which is only 3 hours away by the direct ski bus service from Arlberg Express (0043-05582-226). It's a two hour drive from Innsbruck.

Note: a seven-night stay (Saturday arrival) is typically required at most hotels. Typically, February and early March are peak season with tons of Europeans on vacation.
