North of Clare in Clare County in the Au Sable State Forest, the Green Pine Lake Pathway has 6 miles of scenic trails.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead at Pike Lake from the intersection of US 27 and US 10 Business in Claire, go west-north on US 10 Business for 8.2 miles. Continue northwest on SR 115 for 6.9 miles. Parking is on the left, just past Pike Lake.

Overall, Green Pine Lake Pathway is the 27th most popular cross country ski area of all 49 Nordic ski destinations in Michigan.
