Rockton Mountain Trails Cross Country Skiing

The 21st most popular XC Ski in Pennsylvania.

Northwest of Clearfield in the Moshannon State Forest, the Rockton Mountain Trails are a series of cross country skiing trails totaling 12 miles traversing scenic forest and streams. The trails are marked with a blue blaze.

From the Pittsburgh area follow interstate 80 east to exit 18. Follow Rt. 153 towards Clearfield to Rt. 322 west. The trailhead is located 9 miles northwest of Clearfield on SR322. The parking area at the interestion with Greenwood road.

Overall, Rockton Mountain Trails is the 21st most popular cross country ski area of all 35 Nordic ski destinations in Pennsylvania.
