South of Kamloops, the Stake Lake area has 45km of cross country skiing trails groomed for classical and skate skiing maintained by the Overlander Ski Club. The trails are through rolling forests.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead lodge from Kamloops on the TransCanada Highway #1, use exit #366 and head south on Lac Le Jeune Road (old Logan Lake Highway) for about 25 minutes.

Overall, Stake Lake is the 41st most popular cross country ski area of all 56 Nordic ski destinations in British Columbia. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Stake Lake including Lac Le Jeune Resort, Sun Peaks Nordic and Woody Life.
