Northeast of Thunder Bay near Pass Lake, the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park has 4 groomed trails totaling 60km maintained by the Thunder Bay Nordic Trails Association.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Thunder Bay, head east on Highway 11/17. Turn south on Highway 587 for 6km to Pass Lake.

Overall, Sleeping Giant Provincial Park is the 8th most popular cross country ski area of all 48 Nordic ski destinations in Ontario.
