To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Bancroft, head south on Highway 28 for 24km.

Overall, Silent Lake Provincial Park is the 8th most popular cross country ski area of all 49 Nordic ski destinations in Ontario. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Silent Lake Provincial Park including Bracebridge Resource Management Centre Trails, Porcupine Ridge, South Monck Trails, Haliburton Forest, Mountain View Ski Area and Georgian Nordic Ski.
