Miqueion Lake Provincial Park Cross Country Skiing

The 17th most popular XC Ski in Alberta.

Southeast of Edmonton and north of Canrose, the Miqueion Provincial Park has eight groomed ski trails totaling 18km. The trails roll over knob and kettle moraine.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Canrose, head north on Highway 833 for 22km. Turn west on Highway 623 for 9km.

Overall, Miqueion Lake Provincial Park is the 17th most popular cross country ski area of all 37 Nordic ski destinations in Alberta. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Miqueion Lake Provincial Park including River Valley Outdoor Centre, Cooking Lake Blackfoot Provincial Park, Elk Island National Park and Vermillion Provincial Park.
