Myles Standish State Forest Cross Country Skiing

Southeast of Boston and southwest of Plymouth, the 14,600 acre Myles Standish State Forest is laced with miles of cross country skiing trails and paths through gently rolling pine forest. Theres also a 22 mile paved multi-purpose trail.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Boston, follow SR3 southeast to Exit 5. Turn right heading west onto Long Pond Road for 4 miles to the signed state forest entrance on the right. Turn right in to the state forest and head towards the headquarters. At about 2 miles, there is a nice signed trailhead parking area.

Overall, Myles Standish State Forest is the 13th most popular cross country ski area of all 21 Nordic ski destinations in Massachusetts.
