Muncie Lakes Pathway Cross Country Skiing

Southeast of Traverse City, the Muncie Lakes Pathway consists of numerous groomed loops and segments with the outermost loop of roughly 11.5 miles (25km). Accessible from Ranch Rudolf or plowed parking areas off Brownbridge Road east of Ranch Rudolf. Trails are approximately 14 miles southeast of Traverse City.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from the intersection of Garfield Ave. and US 31 in Traverse City, take Garfield Ave. south for 3.4 miles to Hammond Rd. Go east on Hammond Rd. for 4 miles to High Lake Rd. Turn right and go 0.5 miles to Supply Rd. Take a left and travel 2.8 miles to Rennie Lake Rd. Turn right and go about 3.5 miles to the trailhead. The trailhead is near Ranch Rudolph.

Overall, Muncie Lakes Pathway is the 26th most popular cross country ski area of all 49 Nordic ski destinations in Michigan. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Muncie Lakes Pathway including North American Vasa Inc., Shanty Creek, Alligator Hill Trail and Lost Lake Pathway.
