Wendell State Forest Cross Country Skiing

The 17th most popular XC Ski in Massachusetts.

Near Wendell, the 7,500 acre Wendell State Forest has miles of cross country skiing trails through hardwood and pine forests.

To reach the forest, follow SR2 to Exit 12. Turn south on SR63 through Miller Falls for 0.75 miles. Turn left heading east onto Wendell Road and continue across the railroad bridge. Wendell Road turns into Montague Road. Follow the signs.

Overall, Wendell State Forest is the 17th most popular cross country ski area of all 21 Nordic ski destinations in Massachusetts.
