Stoney Pond Nordic Ski Trail

The 28th most popular cross country ski area in New York.

Southeast of Syracuse and southwest of Morrisville, the 1,469 acre Stoney Pond State Forest has a nice 13 mile trail network open to cross country skiing. The trail network runs through pine plantations and hardwood forests.

To reach the trailhead from Cazenovia, head east on US20 for 7 miles to Larson Road. Head south on Larson Road to Old State Road. Turn right heading west on Old State Road briefly to Jones Road. Turn left heading south on Jones Road for 1.5 miles to Stoney Pond Road. Turn left heading east on Stoney Pond Road to parking area.

Overall, Stoney Pond Nordic Ski Trail is the 28th most popular cross country ski area of all 61 Nordic ski destinations in New York.
