Northeast of Syracuse near Cleveland and Constania in Oswego County, the Vanderkamp Center area has 1,100 acres of gently rolling land laced with a nice trail network. The trail pass through open fields and through woodlands. The trails are groomed and marked.

To reach the cross-country skiing trailhead from Syracuse on US81, head north to Exit 32 (Central Square). Turn right at the stop light onto SR49 and head east. Continue 13 miles to Martin Road. Turn left on Martin Road for 1.5 miles to Vanderkamp.

Overall, Vanderkamp Center is the 51st most popular cross country ski area of all 61 Nordic ski destinations in New York. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Vanderkamp Center including Rodman - Barnes Corner Ski Trail, Salmon Hills Outdoor Adventure Center, Highland Forest County Park, Chateaugay State Forest, Black River Environmental Improvement Association and Brookfield Trail SystemWhaupaunaucau State Forest.
