Northwest of Buffalo in the Bighorn National Forest, the Willow Park Nordic Ski Trails is an extensive network of 27 miles of ungroomed cross country ski trails. There are several loops of varying levels of difficulty from easy to most difficult.

To reach the trailhead from Buffalo, head west on US16 for 48 miles. Just past Meadowlark Lake, turn right on forest service road for 0.25 miles to trailhead parking area.

To reach the trailhead from TenSleep, head east on US16 for 19 miles. Turn left heading north on forest service road for 0.25 miles to trailhead parking area.

Overall, Willow Park Nordic Ski Trails is the 11th most popular cross country ski area of all 26 Nordic ski destinations in Wyoming.
