In the Soda Springs Ranger District, the Trail Canyon Trail is a 37 mile route, of which, a 7.5 mile section is open to cross-country skiing.

Overall, Trail Canyon Trail is the 40th most popular cross country ski area of all 43 Nordic ski destinations in Idaho. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Trail Canyon Trail including Harriman State Park, Bear Gulch / Mesa Falls, Bear Creek/Palisades and Fall Creek / Swan Valley.
