Near Marshalltown, the Linn Creek Greenbelt Parkway is an 8 mile route open to snowmobiling and cross country skiing. It runs along Linn Creek and the Iowa River. It links several parks and recreation areas.

To reach the Riverview Park Trailhead from the intersection of Main St.(CR E35) and SR 14 in Marshalltown, go north on SR 14 (3rd Ave.) for 1 mile. Turn right on Woodland St. and travel .3 miles. Turn left into Riverview Park.

Overall, Linn Creek Greenbelt Parkway is the 11th most popular cross country ski area of all 15 Nordic ski destinations in Iowa.
