North of Ketchum near Stanley in the Sawtooth National Forest, the Sawtooth Valley Trail System consists of two areas, Park Creek and Alturas Lake. The Park Creek Ski Trails is a 16km network of cross country skiing trails. The trailhead is located 7 miles northwest of Stanley.

To reach the Park Creek Trailhead from the intersection of SR 21 and SR 75 in Stanley, go west on SR 21 for just over 7 miles to parking on the left.

Overall, Sawtooth Valley Trails - Park Creek is the 16th most popular cross country ski area of all 43 Nordic ski destinations in Idaho. Several of the better cross country ski trails are nearby Sawtooth Valley Trails - Park Creek including Galena Lodge, Sawtooth Valley Trails - Alturas Lake and Redfish Lake.
